Theology for Teachers is an ideal introduction to the Catholic faith for those who are preparing to teach in Catholic schools.

It is divided into five sections:-- Principles of Faith and Faith Growth;-- An Introduction to the Hebrew and Christian Scriptures;-- Ecclesiology and Sacrament;-- Morality, Sin and Reconciliation; -- and The Last Things (Death and Beyond).

All readers will benefit from the author's down-to-earth relating of theology to faith life. The frequent references to the Catechism of the Catholic Church, other footnote references, suggestions for further reading, glossary and index, make this work a valuable resource in religious education.

Ian Knox was a priest of the Congregation of the Holy Ghost (Spiritans) and held a Ph.D. in religious education from the University of Notre Dame. He was a Special Lecturer in Theology and Religious Education at the University of St. Michael's College in Toronto, and served until his death as a consultant to the Catholic Office of Religious Education of the Archdiocese of Toronto.
